Earache Recording artists Adema have once again filled their vocal position, this time with singer Bobby Reeves, known for his prior work with Level. The group will undertake some live appearnces with the new frontman in order to get the kinks straightened out before heading into the studio to record the follow-up to their 2005 release, "Planets."
With the release of Adema's debut album for Earache Records, "Planets", set for April 5, Adema have left their home of Bakersfield, California and headed to Italy to shoot the first video off "Planets", for the track entitled "Tornado". With acclaimed Italian director Paolo Doppieri at the helm, the "Tornado" video is being filmed on location near Ancona, Italy. The action is set mainly in an underground cave, beneath a town square. "We have been told that this cave was actually created during the Roman era and then again used during medieval times as a defense against Barbaric invasions!", stated Adema drummer Kris Kohls before departing for Italy. "Doppieri has a great artistic vision for the video, and the song is a rocker. The video is going to be awesome. Italy, here we come!" The track, "Tornado" (also being released in the UK as the first single off "Planets"), is based on an unfaithful relationship that new Adema vocalist (and ex-Marine) Luke Caraccioli found himself in while overseas in the midst of his military service. After completing work on the "Tornado" video, some of the members of Adema will be hitting the UK for a press trip. The entire band will be back home in California on March 4 to resume handling US and Canadian interviews. Adema's debut album for Earache Records, "Planets", will see an April 5 release in the US and Canada (April 11 in the UK and Europe). Stand by for details about the release of the "Tornado" video.
Adema bassist Dave DeRoo has issued the following update: "Adema is officially a part of the Immortal Records family! I wanna give a shout out to Happy Walters, Jamie Talbot, and everyone at Immortal. We look forward to working with you guys, and being with a label that 'gets it.' "We have been writing songs for this record for the past several months, and we've been fine-tuning them with a cat by the name of Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard, Zebrahead) the last few weeks. We are set to start recording the album with him in Los Angeles April 9th! We've really vibed with Marshall; he's got some great ideas, and we're really excited about working with the guy! "We're all ready to get this fuckin' thing out, and get back on the road, and it looks like the record is gonna drop in June. We don't have a title for the album, or an exact release date yet, but trust me on this one — we are as pumped about getting this record out as you guys are!!! We got a handful of shows in May, and we're booking for the summer/fall as I type this." Adema last year announced the addition of vocalist Bobby Reeves of the Los Angeles-based band Level to the group's ranks. Reeves joined Adema as the replacement for Luke Caraccioli, who left the band in October 2005 — only six months after the release of their first album ('Planets') without the contributions of singer Marky Chavez (half-brother of Korn's Jonathan Davis). Adema 2007 is: Bobby Reeves - Vocals Tim Fluckey - Guitars Ed Faris - Guitars Dave DeRoo - Bass Kris Kohls - Drums
